GateHouse, NY Times Co. settle copyright lawsuit

An interesting lawsuit took place in December (see my post here) and has been closely watched by all in the media market. Earlier today, there were reports on Twitter today which have now been confirmed by the press, that a settlement has been reached between GateHouse and NY Times Co. Very few details have been disclosed about the settlement. Here is the Press Release and the Settlement Agreement noting that neither side will be paying damages or admitting wrongdoing. Bottom line: no more Gatehouse headlines on Boston.com. GateHouse Media had raised the action against the Times for links found on Boston.com to its local website network.
